"Dan Gibson is an extremely prolific artist in the world of New Age music, even if he don't have anywhere the recognition of say, Yanni, John Tesh, or many of the artists that record for the Windham Hill label. To be honest I'm not much of a fan of that kind of music. But I have little problems with environmental recordings, such as the sound of thunder, rain, a stream, the ocean, waterfall, etc. without any music set to it, as many of you probably noticed your fair share of such CDs and cassettes. And Dan Gibson had done such albums, such as Windsong. This is basically the sound of nature with some really nice, relaxing, and mystical-sounding windchimes. The CD only had two cuts, "Garden Tranquility" and "Seaside Breeze". Both use the same windchimes. With "Garden Tranquility", you get the sounds of a stream and birds with the windchimes, and "Seaside Breeze" is the sound of the ocean with those same windchimes. That means you can choose whatever cut you're most in the mood for, or listen to both of them. Yes, most anyone can buy windchimes, including ones like the one you hear on Windsong. Any town large or small are bound to have at least a few homes with a windchime hanging by their door. But not everyone has the benefit of living by the stream or by an ocean, and so Windsong makes it easy to think you are at one of those locations with the windchimes, even if you're not. Nice recording, and for those who want another environmental recording to add to your collection, this is one to get."

UP A LITTLE.THIS CD IS RECORDED IN DOLBY SURROUND AND ALLOWS
THE LISTENER TO EXPEIRENCE 3-D SOUND INSTEAD OF STANDARD
STEREO.IT'S ALSO ENHANCED MEANING IF YOU PUT THIS IN A CD ROM
YOU WILL GET A NATURE AND VIDEO PRESENTATION.THIS RECORDING
IS NATURE SOUNDS ONLY WITH NO MUSIC.I HIGHLEY RECOMMEND THIS
CD IF YOU LIKE HEARING WINDCHIMES IN GENERAL OF IF YOU LOVE

"I am an end-of-life Midwife and use this music along with Dan Gibson's other music to assist my patients in passing away peacefully. Music is a very strong part of what I do, and it helps keep my patients calm and peaceful. I enjoy listening to it too - I get very relaxed listening to it as well."
