I have loved and enjoyed Dan Fogelberg's music for 30 years. I am only now trying to get all of his music on disc format. This is one of his first albums. Most of the songs are great. Of course, there are a couple that are only so-so, but that's going to be true for all album compilations I think.

I play the piano and started playing his music also 30 years ago. I stopped playing for several years and put all my books away. Recently I bought a piano and one of the first books I took out was my Dan Fogelberg book for piano. Of course, I had lost touch with many of the songs, not having played nor listened to them in some time. That is another reason why I am trying to get all his music now.

"Souvenirs brings back so many great memories. I still remember the first time I heard it in my dorm room in Waterson Towers at Illinois State University - it totally blew me away. Dan created a timeless masterpiece that has survived the years by uniquely blending rock, folk, country, classical, and bluegrass styles. Listening to Souvenirs today is just as enjoyable as it was in 1974."
