Product Description(2007) Amplifier is a collection of 10 songs written, composed, produced, performed and recorded by Dan Beahm over the the past five years. Beahm's 'heart on his sleeve' vocals weave in and out of music fueled mostly by acoustic guitar, but heavily peppered with cello, piano and the occasional oboe, English horn, French horn, clarinet or sundry other members of the woodwind/brasswind family. The album moves through various moods and stories and builds to an orchestral swell with the politically charged 'Kandahar,' but as a kind of light-hearted thanks, the listener is left with a new 'dusty saloon' version of 'Half as Cool as Han Solo' (previously available as an earlier recording on 2003 Renaissance Boy Recordings release Maybe I'll Fly). (2008) The second pressing of Amplifier includes a new eco-wallet cover format and a new hidden track that hints at the sound of the forthcoming Cats or Cars (Dan Beahm, et al) project.
