Poet For Sale -- Aren't We All?
Dr. Margot L. Oates | Eugene, Oregon | 12/04/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"My first boyfriend owned this record album (yes, vinyl) along with about 3000 other LPs, and one day while he was at work, I listened to Side One while smoking a "cigarette" (*wink*). It, as we used to say, blew my mind. I hadn't heard the record in years until I stumbled across it at the Tower Records store in Washington, D.C. I bought it out of nostalgic longing, but found that I listened to it with new, grown-up 46 year-old ears. The 5th cut (originally the last song on Side One) is called "Poet For Sale" and its lyrics will resonate with anyone who ever felt that they've sold their soul for the filthy lucre. No, I haven't sold my soul lately...but it is still a recitation that sticks with me."
Just beats out Good Morning

"A wonderful album, very relaxed, hippy-trippy, and wise. Everyone wants this one to be rereleased!"
