"I have been a King's X fan since I first saw them in 1989. Most of their stuff is superior to virtually anything out there. They are the best live band I have ever seen - bar none! The Ty solo stuff and his side projects have been awesome as well. I LOVE Doug, but have never been moved by his solo stuff - until NOW. This album is AWESOME! It has everything - soul, funk, harmonies, acoustic, heavy, rock, EVERYTHING that is good.

If you are at all a fan of KX or dUg, you will LOVE this album.

"Doug Pinnick, Ty Tabor and King's X in general put out some of the best music that is little known, and this disc is no exception. I have listened to this band since '88 and every time I think these guys have peaked and won't be able to come up with anything good anymore they make me eat crow. In this album, Doug took the sound he had six years ago in Pineappleskunk and added some more heaviness and flare--the result is a CD that I'm probably getting close to wearing out even though I got it only a month or so ago."

"dUg has a means of expressing himself that has always been unique and good. On this CD he rocks it hard, and I think it surpasses all of his past solo efforts due to the musical help he gets in this collection of songs. He's always been a strong musician and vocalist throughout his career, but when he adds the spice of other talented artists, man there is no one better at progressive rock than dUg. Keep it rocking man."

Best Doug Pinnick album!

"Being an old King's X fan, I'm always excited when one of the guys (usually Doug or Ty) put out some solo stuff. The latest Doug Pinnick album (he seems to be using "Dug" now) is his best solo effort yet.

Wally Farkas plays guitar all over the album. Dug (who normally plays bass on the King's X albums) also shares some guitar. The new players on this album makes for a interesting mix. The album is still heavy and aggressive like King's X, but with some pleasant eyebrow-raising fresh things.

Several of the songs have "Part Two" versions.

Perfect World, Pt.2

Dynomite, Pt.2

Life Is What You Make It, Pt.2

Cross It, Pt.2

and a real good groove on Coming Over that runs 10:01.

The production of Doug's earlier two solo projects was good but seemed heavier and muddier. This album sounds cleaner, and although heavy, has a lighter, uplifting classic groove to it.

If you enjoy King's X, you will be very happy with this solo project by Dug Pinnick.

For Veteran Fans, Doug (DUG) Doesn't Disappoint

"It's Doug; what more can you say? If you like King's X style guitar, with crunching bass (and Doug isn't playing bass on these tracks), this is it. As usual, it has Doug's "real" world" subject matter in the lyrics. The opening cut, Perfect World, bears this out, with Doug's sarcastic view of things which forces you to be honest about the way life really is. I've got all his other releases as well as those of King's X, and I keep coming back.

Lyrically, Doug is a few big steps above other rock groups; I just wonder what kind of life he's led that's supplied him with such insight. Sure, the groove is there, but it's all really there to make you THINK. So far, it doesn't seem he's run out of inspiration or ideas to put to music the subjects of life, faith, and truth.

Best of luck to Doug's individual pursuits and those of King's X."
