"DJ Skribble- Essential Spring Break- Summer 2001DJ Skribble is amazing. I had the oportunity of meeting him at the Virgin Megastore in Orlando. There have been many rumors about DJ Skribble and his "live mixing." Some say he pre records his mixes, and that he doesn't perform live. These remors are nonsense, for I had the oportunity of seing mix live at Virgin. He's amazing. There is a point in this house track that he brought in Tamia chanting "Theres a stranger in my house." He filtered the background and brought it back down with a pounding trance beat with Tamia chanting "In My House." And just when you thought there would be a dramatic break, he brought in a new heavy trance song. Is that amazing or what?Well, Im not here to review his amazing performances, Im here to review his new CD, Essential Spring Break- Summer 2001, so here is my review.Skribble starts of his CD with the wonderfull Afro Medusa Track- Pasilda. Doring the beginning of the song, he creates an "Intro," mixing in a few of the songs on the CD into it, like "I Wanna Be You" by Chocolate Puma. Next, he brings in the Madison Avenue sounding "Sasoul Nugget (If You Wanna)", by The Girl Next Door. He mixes this into the amazing "Grooveget" by Spiller, followed by Joey Negro's mix of Jakatta's "American Dream," featuring music from the motion picture "American Beauty." Next comes Static Revengers "Happy People" which is an excellent track. Hatira's "Spaced Invader" starts to bring in a more strong sound. Following "Spaced Invader" comes Chocolate Puma's "I Wanna Be You," a track heating up in Europe and causing a buzz in the US. Hex Hector's mix of Tamia's "Stranger In My House" bring in the CD's hard sound. It's follwed by "The House Of God" by DHS, "Somebody" by Arome, and the excellent "Phat Base" by Warp Bros Vs Aquagen. Next up is Bliss Inc's "Faith." This is a wonderfull track. It features a wonderfull breakdown featuring strings. Darude's "Sandstorm," which is featured on countless compilations brings in the CD's trance sound. Safri Duo's amazing Bongo Song is next, a track which is sure to make people scream. Next up is Svenson & Gielen's (Aka Airscape) amazing trance track "Beauty of Silence." Speaking of Silence, the DJ Tiesto mix of Delerium's "Silence" brings the CD into an amzing close.This CD is one of the best mixes that I have ever heard. Don't listen to any of the other reviews, the mixing and tracks are great. DJ Skribble is amazing, and truly legendary. Much more is to come from this amzing DJ, whe'll just have to wait and see just what he has in mind."

"Hey this CD is sooooo much better then the Essential Dance 2000! I think Scribble may have learned a few things since then. The song selection is great, he uses some of the top dance tracks from the UK, and the mixing is better then the Essential Dance 2000. I recommend this CD to Scribble fans as well as fans of UK dance & club music."

"ok. first i will tell you why i hate dj skribble (specifically this album) then i will tell you why you may love him.i am a dj (a bedroom dj, but a dj nonetheless). you do realise that sandstorm has been out for about 4 years now, right? hang on. i got it. heres skrib's mixing style: play song all the way thru. when vocal or main hook drops out from first song (aka when it goes back to just the beat, at the end) (in case you dont know, ALL club mixes of songs have about a minute at the beginning and end thats jus the beat, for mixing purposes) anyways, when that drops out he adds in the next song at the beginning. so when the minute ending of the first song stops, the minute beginning of the second song is ending, and it goes into the tune. wonderful mix yadda yadda sounds great yadda yadda. every time i pick up a skribble mix, i can tell you, almost without fail, the first time hearing it, when each song is going to start.that being said. if you are just casually into dance music, you'll like this cd. you'll like all his cds.

Basement Jaxx - Wheres Your Head Atif you think more than 2 of these are still wonderful club tracks, or dont recognize ALL of these tracks, you are a casual listener. go pickup MTVs little pet dj (Skribble). If you find these tracks boring, almost taboo to play as a DJ, you had better look elsewhere. ive got a couple suggestions :)

Carl Cox - Mixed Live (theres two. pick one! lol)"
