"D.J. screw was a pioneer in the Southern rap movement. His screwed and chopped music changed the face of rap in the South. Many heads across the world are bobbin'to the hypnotic, slowed beats this man produced. Unfortunatly, DJ Screw passed away of a heart atack last week at the young age of 30. This loss is tremendous to the many Screw fans around the globe. This album is one of the few to be distributed. Most of his best work is on underground albums. Buy this album, play it, remember Screw. He created more tham music. He created a slower way of living."
Bangin' Screw out the Pacific Northwest!

"If you aren't from the south, haven't heard of DJ Screw, and don't know anything about sippin', then be sure to pick this album up. If you are from back east, or out here in the west, this might be an acquired taste, but it is way tight after you've heard it a bit. If you are from the south, then either you know how tight Screw is, or you are extremely sheltered and need to get the $&%@ outside more often! What this album is all about is some classic Texas rap cuts, but slowed down and mixed so you can really soak in the lyrics and beats. Beware of imitators, there is only ONE DJ Screw. If you can, pick up his underground tapes. Being from Portland, it's hard to get ahold of Screwed material. Just get the album, and get to that other level, then listen. Trip out your friends by bangin Screw in your ride when you roll downtown! (Also pick up Lil' Keke, Botany Boys, or Yungstar)"
