"If you like any 3-6 Mafia cd or any Hypnotize Minds cd at all, this should be in your collection. This remake of DJ Paul's classic, Underground Vol. 16: For Da Summer of '94, blends the "get buck" feel of Tear da Club Up Thugs CrazyNDaLazDayz; the classic 3-6 feel of one of their three underground discs; and the amazing evolving production of the super-producers DJ Paul and Juicy J. This disc also gives a fresh spin on older songs by replacing some of the older verses of departed Prophet Posse members with new verses from people like Pat and Frasyer Boy. Frasyer Boy is all over this junt so finally HCP fans can get a good sample of his rap style. Standout tracks include "Back the ---- Back" (a mixed up sample of 2Pac's Ambition's Az a Rider is included as Paul and Scarecrow lay it down), "Kickin in the Doe", "Break da Law" (Paul gives a shout out to Fort Worth), "Glock in my Draws" (the eerie Unsolved Mysteries theme is sampled while Frasyer Boy shines), "Where is da Bud II", "Beat Down Intro" (a hilarious skit where some chickenhead hoe tries to smoke for free so Scarecrow beats her down), and what I feel is one of the best HCP songs ever, "King of Kings". After the departure of T-Rock, Gangsta Boo and Project Pat within the last half year, I was afraid that the traditional posse song would not shine like it used to. However, this song ranks up there with "Funkytown" off Gangsta Blac's Can it Be?, "Whatever Ho" (the posse song off Pat's Ghetty Green) and "Bodyparts 2" (the posse song off 3-6's Chapter 2: World Domination). Words cannot do this song justice. Lord starts the song with a crunk verse; La Chat actually has a verse that is decent; the Juice Mane comes hard with lines like "sittin back watchin R. Kelly tapes"; Frasyer Boy drops one of his best verses ever; Crunchy gets it crunk as he does in every song; and of course Paul comes the hardest in a verse that isn't like anything ever done before. The only reason I went so in depth about this disc is because I enjoy it SO much and I hope that this review turned someone else on to this classic HCP release."
