"It just reminds you they are pop, heart, and soul"

"As this album is very similar to the US version, "The 12' Collection Plus", the 12' mixes is slightly better. That is because it proves to us Culture Club is pop, heart, and soul. As we hear George and Helen Terry rock with "Man Shake", we also get to hear slow soul with both George and Helen conquering the world with "Black Money." We all know "Black Money" is from "Colour By Numbers", but it is great for it to appear again. Too bad it is not on any US greatest hits still in print. Unfortunatly, "Black Money" is not on the US 12' collection. Another bonus we get on the 12'Mixes album is "Romancing the Alphabet" ("Time" instrumental). This song is not available on US 12' plus OR ANY album in print at all. This is a must have for any Culture Club fan. Interestingly enough, this came out in Europe and Canada in 1991. We received the US version, called "The 12' Collection Plus" in 1997, which does not include "Black Money" or "Romancing the Alphabet". This is when we wish we lived in Europe. At least the US version 12' Collection Plus has a slightly extended version of "Gusto Blusto". That also should be on US greatest hits albums. Buy "12' Mixes" now. You will smile."
