"This is a True 90's Classic. I can't imagine living in the 90's without it. Not just a Club classic (Techno/Trance), but also a Pop Classic (Great Catchy and Emotional songs with Female Vocals and rap). No EuroDance collection can be without it... in fact No music collection should be without it. It's music for your Mind, Your Body, and your Soul! What more can one ask for?10 Years I had this album, and it still takes my breath away everytime I listen to it. All those Melody Hooks, Lyrics, Raps, Synth Beats and Lines are burned in my mind forever.
This album was on the Cutting Edge of the sound in 1993, in fact IMO it was way ahead of it's time, and it still sounds AWESOME to this very day, even when compared to Modern Techno/Synth/Trance releases. this album was Revolutionary, but for Culture beat it was their 2-nd full length album. The album was produced by the late Torsten Fenslau, God Bless his Soul!It featured the Amazing Vocals of Tania Evans and Unofgetable rap of Jay Supreme. Don't like Rap? Well, that's probably because you've never heard EuroRap, and that's exactly what Jay Supreme's rap sounds like. Great, Upbeat, thoughtful, Emotional, and most of all Clean (not Vulgar) The album start with a Great Intro.
It then Explodes into the Biggtest Club-Pop crossover hit of the 90's called "Mr Vain" (one would have to have lived in a cave not to hear this one). The following Songs are Great Fast Techno/Eurodance with female Lyrics and Male Rap:"Mr vain"
"Got to Get It""Anything" - this one is soo fast, it's Crazy, the whole body just shakes."Rocket to the Moon""Mother Earth" - Great song with a Message, starts out slow, with Great female Vocals that just send shivers down my spine with every listen."Adellante" - has rap, but mostly Instrumental, Great Stuff here. There are also some Slower tunes, these are more Trancey and Soulful, But they still have Great Synth arrangments and Great memorable Melodies, just a bit slower."World In Your Hands" - a true Beauty"Key to Your Heart" - soooo Beautiful, it's beyond words"Other Side Of Me" - once again, a Beauty of a song, Great Synths and beat too."Hurt" - very Soulful and Beautiful song."Serenity (Epilogue)" - well, this one is a KILLER Trance/Synth/Techno Instrumental with woman saying "Serenity". The sound is sooo Powerful and Emotional. A true Trance music classic. So, what can I say, this album is just a Perfection. It's much more than a Club/Dance CD, it's a Great Pop album that can be listened to anywhere (home or in the car or at work). And it really stands the test of time very well, because after all those years I often come back to it and still get much joy from it. It's timeless and to me holds a lot of memories, liek a time capsule. All other CB albums are also Great, so it's worth to have all of them, expecailly "Inside Out" and "Metamorphosis" (slower, but still great)Not to be repetitive, but this album is a Perfection of the Sound, Melody, and Songwriting.Thank You Very Much, and Enjoy this Amazing Album."
A Terrific 90's Dance CD That Is Rarely Serene

""Serenity" begins and ends with two somewhat identical ambient/trance tunes, mixing in random helicopter, train, airplane, and ocean sounds (plus some vocals by Jay Supreme in the prolog version), producing two very soothing, standout songs. This CD primarily earns its name from these two same-named prolog and epilog tracks, but most of the remaining ten songs on "Serenity" are all fast and rarely serene. Just to name a couple: #2 ("Mr. Vain"), which Culture Beat is most notable for and the main reason why I purchased this CD, and #5 ("Adelante!"), the only track done by Jay Supreme, who speaks mostly in Spanish throughout it--a great track, by the way.Other notable tracks on "Serenity" are #3 ("Got To Get It"), one of my favorites; #4 ("World in Your Hands"), a slower/medium song with what sounds like a Bell Biv DeVoe sample from "Poison" playing in the background; and #11 ("Mother Earth"), an Earth-conscious song that tries to send out a positive message but comes off sounding a bit too overbearing. In summary: "Serenity" is a terrific choice for 90's dance fans. There are plenty of fast, club-friendly tracks on here, plus a few effectively slower songs thrown in as well. Overall, it's a great pick-me-up album."

A 90's must

"Culture Beat is obviously one of the biggest names of the 90's club music. This album is a must to have if you are into this music. "Mr Vain" is undeniably one of the 5 biggest dance success worldwide ever with "No limit" by 2 Unlimited or "What is love" by Haddaway. This album also contains the terrific tracks "Got to get it" and "Anything" extremely famous in Europe , as well as "Adelante" and "World in your hands" which were huge hits in clubs(N.B: "World in your hands" is a slow version here). But aside of these big hits, we find some unknown tracks which are as great as these ones like "The other side of me" or "The hurt"( which i both love because of their atmospheric ravy sound and energy, as well as their words and always the great voice of the lead female singer Tania Evans). As regards the other 3 tracks, they are more trance songs, heavier, that i don't really like personally("Rocket to the moon").
But you have to listen to the Prologue which could appear on a suspense or sci-fi movie sountrack.
This album is definitely a must-have."
This is an indispensable CD for your dance/techno collection

"Culture Beat is an icon on the dance music scene of the 1990's. Together with other groups, specially 2 Unlimited, Culture Beat ruled the dance floor and the beginning of the 90's. This CD has great musics, specially Mr. Vain and Got to Get It. Another great CD from Culture Beat is "Inside Out", released latter."
