"Jose Alfredo Jimenez might be the best composer from Mexico in general, but if what you want is music with true feeling, Cuco Sanchez is your best bet. He made a lot of classic rancheras, but his specialty is writting songs for those of us who have loved, have been loved, and/or have lost a loved one in this life. His music will make you cry, and laugh of joy. He is a master in bringing all those memories back. I truly recommend this album. My favorites are: Anillo de compromiso,Nuestro gran amor, Que si te quiero juralo, Fallaste corazon...Siempre hace....Just get it! you won't regret it. This is the type of CD that you won't shelf away."

"In this CD Cuco Sanchez manages to give musical form to that most difficult, sublime and often most painful of human emotions...love.



The music and the words on this recording will touch your heart. If you need to relax after a hard day's work, then this CD is for you. If you have ever known love, even if this love was not returned to you, then this CD is definitely for you. The CD is reasonably priced. The quality of the recording is very good. The songs are numerous and varied.



I listen to this CD very often, frequently with my entire family, struggling to translate to them the beautiful words I hear from Spanish to English.



If you are fond of Mexico and love its culture; if you understand Mexico's painful history and respect and admire the dignity of Mexico's people, then this recording is for you as well. Music is often the best ambassador a people have, and the most clear portrayal of the purity and nobility of its soul. Cuco Sanchez is among the very best of musical ambassadors for Mexico.

"Cuco sings on only 3 tracks. We are fond of the music but bought the disc because it appeared to contain songs sung by him. We are still looking for recordings of Rancheras that are sung from the heart like Cuco does so well."
