"This is the only Cruel Sea album I have heard. Great stuff. The Australian band do a great job of mixing swamp rock, blues, and pop to acheive a compelling mix. The lead singer shows passion and swagger. The guitarist has a wide variety of hooks and does a good job playing to the song. If you like blues with a dirty pop attitude, you'll like this."
Their best selling album

"This was the Cruel Sea's biggest selling album, and although it is one of the best, it lacks the consistency of "This is not the way home" which is widely regarded as the 'best' Cruel Sea album. Honeymoon has some great songs on it all the same."
Australian Blues Rock at its best

"For blues and Rock fans from outside Australia the Cruel Sea is probably fairly unknown. These guys are the pinicle of this style of music not just in Aust but very easily cut it with best worldwide. They write quality blues/rock and play it at the virtuoso level. The consistancy of quality songwritting and musicianship between albums is such that I can confidantly say "BUY any of their albums, you will not be dissapointed, and I guarantee you will want to buy more.""
The best album *EVER* to come from aus

"My australian girlfriend introduced me to this band and I haven't turned back since. They are one of the hardest rockin', best - soundin' bands that I have ever had the pleasure to listen to. There are few bands this powerful or this true. Don't miss it. We americans need to widen our artistic horizons..."
I would have given it six stars if I could...

"The Honeymoon is Over is one of the best albums to come out of Australia in years. An unpretentious, laidback band who know that real music is not about lookin' pretty and shaking booty, the Cruel Sea is up there with musical greats such as jj cale and the Band for lyrical brillance (pared down lyrics which manage to evoke rich imagery) and instrumental greatness. Unlike most albums in my collection, this one goes down just as well half a decade later..."
