Album Description'216 Stitches' is the first of three albums to be released in quick succession by Crosley Field. The title song is a nice banjo inflected ramble about heartbreak and baseball. "Her Sugarland Express" connects the Lusitania sinking, the Hindenburg, and the Titanic, with all events being dwarfed by personal loss. "The cows came home last night" is the type of song that country used to make, but doesnt anymore. From the recounting of a man being arrested for killing his lover to the last fleeting thoughts of a murdered prostitute, the album is full of old fashioned murder ballads and thoughts of redemption. Simple stories simply told.
