"This CD set contains many of the song titles you'll recall from childhood. The problem is, the song lyrics are inexplicably altered. For example, "Twinkle twinkle little bat, how I wonder where you're at. Like a tea tray in the sky..." I've never seen a bat twinkle, but then I've not seen many bats. My husband and I hate this CD set. But, it does quiet down our 18 month old daughter, perhaps because the music is sung by children."
Drive time peace maker!

"I bought this item 5 years ago when my son was born and we still have 3 of the 5 cd's in the car. My son is now 5 and my daughter is 3. Both my husband and I love having these cd's in the car. They make time in the car peaceful and fun! My kids began singing along as soon as they could talk and we either sing along with them or are able to just think or talk to each other with them happy (and singing) in the back. They are especially great on long trips.
My mother-in-law, who is an early childhood educator, had our kids one day and was driving our car and was very impressed with the cd's and commented on how great it is to have children's music in the car and how wonderful it is for kids to be listening and singing to music. She went out and bought the set for her childcare center the next day!
I have also purchased this set for several of my friends for a baby shower gift.
The one song (twinkle twinkle little star) does have an odd verse but I think it's great and gives us something to laugh about and call "silly".
We still have the cd's in the car and take special requests from each child daily!"
Enjoyable

"Not really a review as much as an FYI on the little bat thing. As per a number of online resources, the little bat verse is sung by the Mad Hatter in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. So you can thank Lewis Carroll. Why the Countdown Kids chose to sing that rather than the more complete original version, I can't say. But the alternative verse is not randomly out of the blue."
