"Playlist is the very first Corrosion of Conformity compilation. First, what you are not going to find. The songs from 80's the pre-Pepper punk era or the 2 post-Columbia albums from 2001 and 2005 respectively. However, if you are looking for their heavy rockin southern sludge from their 90's stint with Columbia Records then this is the right place for you.

What I Liked
Fan Faves and Hits- Vote with A Bullet, Albatross, Clean My Wounds, Drowning in Daydream and Long Whip/Big America are here. The bonus tracks The Land of the Free Disease (Japan only bonus track that pop up on a few soundtracks) Big Problems (1995, Clerks Soundtrack) and Fuel (Jam-box Tape versions from King of the Rotten mini single) give value to the collection for those whose have the albums already.
What Could Have Been Better
Replacing My Grain with a couple of the better tracks from `Deliverance' would have improved the set. It would also be great to replace a couple of Wiseblood tracks with Redemption City (from Wiseblood one of one top 5 faves COC tracks and contains one of their best guitar solos) and another track from `Blind' . The Black Sabbath cover Lord of the World from Nativity in Black would shown their talents to be faithful to the original and themselves. Although unrealistic, adding a track or two for `America's Volume Dealer' and/or `In The Arms of God' albums would have been nice. Then again that's just my personal taste and I'm just happy to have this set exist.
The Playlist series contains eco-friendly packaging and digital booklets in replace of printed one.
Corrosion of Conformity is great band that has never got their due and hopefully this cd will get them some well deserve attention. It's a great sample how great they were and still are but you should check out all the albums I have mention above to get full effect of the great music that have made thru the years. Now CRANK IT LOUD AND PROUD.
