CD ReviewsGreatest Album of the year 09/04/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "I cannot believe what I have heard on this one CD. These guys are playing like they are pros. Hard core mix of acoustic type blues with thier own twist. If anyone in the world would buy a CD with out listening to it first this is the one. You can't go wrong." Cornbread goes deep (and gets serious) 04/14/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "The title says a lot for this album: It's chock full of songs about good and good-gone-bad relationships. Cornbread steps into some serious subject matter on this second CD.The music itself is just as tight as that on "Following Ceres," but this time the arrangements are a bit more diverse. "Catwalk" starts out with a typical Cornbread intro, but it melds into a heavy lounge (should I say "striptease"?) groove and finishes with a Spanish flair. It's really trippy and one of the highlights of this album. Reading the liner notes confirmed that pop superstar Shawn Mullins sings backup on the CD's strongest cut, "Angels in the Southland." This uptempo ballad will have you singing along by the time the second chorus hits, "They're from the Southland, yeah, where the Bible is law, and the women are beautiful. A little religion never hurt anyone."Cornbread did a great job on this follow-up CD. I particularly like the maturity in the music and the great use of backing vocals on this CD. If you like bands like Dave Matthews and Blues Traveler, it's definitely worth a listen!"
