CD ReviewsThe loft crowd following Cornbread to fame & fortune WILLIAM F. GENTRY | Schofield Barracks, Hawaii | 01/04/2000 (5 out of 5 stars) "Cornbread has evolved into a classic sound of their own. Not following anyone but Cerres and the Elvis statue. Unbelievable sound. Money well spent to listen and jam with them on a cool Georgia evening. Don't believe me ask my wife Jennifer, and her sister Andrea R. They can play that funky music." Cornbread is positively headed for the top of the charts! WILLIAM F. GENTRY | 09/16/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "Following Ceres is a must for your collection!! It has that total package that makes it a hit. The lyrics touch my soul and the beat puts me up on my feet. This CD has so many great songs that you'll love them all and be singing along. Cornbread is headed straight to the top." Cornbread nails it their first time out! WILLIAM F. GENTRY | 04/14/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "This is truly a great CD. Cornbread defies categorization: they're pop, rock, folk, and r&b all rolled up into one. The songs on this CD are well-written little vignettes about life. Particularly noteworthy are "Mockingbird," a booty-shaking, roll-in-the-grass number,"Telluride," and the tongue-in-cheek "Chicks in Boots," which finishes each chorus with the phrase, "they eat their lunch alone." Mix in a couple of solid, slow grooving numbers, and you've got the perfect travelling CD.This is good-time music played with precision. It's amazing that this is a first CD for this band, because they're surprisingly tight. Basically, you must buy this album. I've seen them live, and they're going somewhere."
