"Although the rhythm is repetitious throughout the CD, I still like it the best. His voice is funky and the music great (fantastic harmonica). I dont get tired of listening to it. I prefer this style over the "Chamber Blues", but I bought that CD also. I am getting all the CDs this man puts out. I wish he would cut some more tracks like the ones on this CD. Just 'simply down-home rhythm' that keeps your feet a 'movin..."

"I've been listening to Corky Siegel's performances, live and recorded, since the late 60s in Chicago. If there is a better blues harmonica player anywhere in the world, I have yet to hear that person."

"Piano, harmonica, songwriting, and showmanship ... quite a package. Corky was one of my "holy trinity" of the 70's Chicago scene (John Prine, Steve Goodman, and Corky Siegel). I was terribly disappointed to see him do "Chamber Blues" live in Carbondale a few years ago. He had no need to reinvent himself by classical music."
