"This was by far MY CD of Summer 1990.
It is one that might have delivered a string of hits, sold million of copies worldwide, put Corey back on track...yet the relationship between Corey and his label was souring up, so the blokes at artist promotion must have thought better than promoting it.
Their loss (and unfortunately Corey and some million of music lovers worldwide too..)
In my opinion BANG! (acronymus for Build A New Garden - a message of hope and release in itw own words...) is one of the three top albums by Corey.
He blended the rock side (A LITTLE LOVE, BANG) with the country-tinged shade (DIAMOND COWBOY), the perfect radio pop tune (RAIN ON ME) with the touching and ever-moving ballad (CAN'T STAND LOSING YOU).
Even attempting at orchestral tracks (BALLADE FOR NIEN CHENG).
Not losing is cynical and sarcastic songwriting (ICON).
Oh yes, that songwriting is something you can always count on when it comes to Corey.
Too bad a million people will never know...unless they read this review, maybe???"
