"As good as it gets. At long last the US is finding out what Canada and a big part of the world has known for years. Don't try to put a label on his music. You can't. To me this is his best work but I have to say everything he does as a singer-songwriter is excellent. His band is also kick butt. OK, I'd say it's some kind of country that you'll be glad you have in your player and leave it."

"Yes, I know that is bad grammar! This album is everything I hoped it would be and more. Every cut is a keeper, from the melancholy strains of "Chinook" to the robust sarcasm of "Long Gone to Saskatchewan." I'd list all my favorite cuts on the CD, but you can find them on the play list! Best part of all, there is an insert with all the lyrics so if just for once, you can't quite catch a word you can read along (if you are a word listener and not just a bass guitar/fiddle listener). Only sad thing about getting this album is wondering how long until the next."
