Synopsis
Product Description Now finally available on CD, this previously "download-only" 20-track record finds Andrew impeccably covering not only himself ("Lonely Boy", "Bridge To Your Heart", "Never Let Her Slip Away", and "Thank You For Being A Friend"), but also Elton John ("Your Song"), the theme from the television sitcom "Mad About You" entitled "The Final Frontier", The Beach Boys ("I Get Around", "Little Deuce Coupe", and "Catch A Wave"), Green Day ("Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)", and The Beatles (10 songs including "Lady Madonna", "All I've Got To Do", "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds", "Norwegian Wood", "Let It Be", and "Strawberry Fields Forever")! A first class production all the way that's full of great singing and great playing! Similar CDs |
CD ReviewsCopy or Cover ? Siegfried Michalsky | 10/14/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "Andrew Gold is one of my very favourite musicians since the early 70s !I own all his LPs/CDs till today !
We know his very special ambition,to play in a kind of Beatle`s touch ? And so he wants to know everyone, that he can do the Beatles`stuff better than anyone else ? So he made such perfect copies of some Beatle-Songs,that you really can`t differ between his products and the Originals ? Now there comes the question: Does this make sense, anyway ? Or should we buy better the Originals then ? I prefer better Cover-Songs with an individual note, than perfect Copies ! But you cannot overlook the musical potential of Andrew Gold and his sporting ambition, to copy 100% in this case.I don`t know, if this will move Mr.McCartney, to make Andrew join his band, as Mr.Gold always wants to do this ? But at last: I bought this CD and loke to hear it !" |
