"Seattle gave us Jimi, the Wilson sisters & Pearl Jam...so now here comes a couple of Seattle locals who continue the rock tradition.
A Variety of sound, produced by skilled and seasoned musicians, all within the context of smartly composed songs spanning the entire rock landscape. Get ready for a fun musical journey with the debut from Convergence Zone, titled "Riffs & Dreams." Convergence Zone is centered around two mult-talented musicians John W. Andrews and Michael Houlihan along with a few guest musicians. John and Michael have a long history of musical paths crossed and together have converged so to speak, with a solid collection of tunes. As I review this disc it's 3:20 in the morning when the moody ballad "3 O'clock starts to play. (How Ironic!) It's a beautiful moving song. The calm peaceful melancholy flows perfectly into the acoustic but upbeat "Something's Going On." That's followed by the rocking title track "Riffs & Dreams." The album flows like a good album oughta...effortlessly. Here are 12 songs that warrant repeated listening. I think you'll dig it. The Convergence Zone's "Riffs & Dreams" is a solid album that rocks and moves you at the same time.
