Album DescriptionConstant Flux, aka Douglas Rimerman, is part of the burgeoning IDM scene in the United States. With his fresh take on the electronic music paradigm married with visual art performances, Constant Flux has already enjoyed radio airplay on L.A.'s influential KCRW 89.9 FM and KXLU 88.9 FM, and a series of live performances at multi-media art exhibitions throughout L.A. Constant Flux recently performed live at Late Night at LACMA, an art opening event at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art with a club-like atmosphere that also featured KCRW's Jason Bentley. This event was attended by more than 900 people. More recent performances include a musical benefit for the people of Nigeria titled Aquarium hosted on March 19 at the Atlas Supper Club on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles as well as a show on April 20 at Roam Design Gallery in the artist district of Los Angeles for a multi-media art event called Urban Surfaces. The live setup for the Urban Surfaces performance was unique in that Doug and visual performance art partner Yo Suzuki were setup on a 12-foot by 10-foot platform suspended from the roof 12 feet above the ground by one high-strength cable at each of four corners of the steel and wood platform. Large gaping holes in the platform floor permitted onlookers to see up through the bottom and view visuals projected straight up towards the ceiling. On March 3, 2002, Doug was invited to perform six tracks as constant flux live on KXLU 88.9 FM. The one-hour spot went so well that he was asked to perform at KXLU again June 2002 and also to play at Cyberstock in the Summer of 2002 (date to be announced), an new electronic music in Southern California.
