"The Concordia Choir from Moorhead, Minnesota has a rich tradition of fine a cappella choral singing going back many decades. On this CD, conductor/composer Rene Clausen pairs together rich, neo-romantic Russian church music of Rachmaninoff and others with more thought-provoking works of the twentieth century for chorus by such European and Scandinavian composers as Penderecki and Sandstrom along with accessible American numbers by Randall Thompson and Charles Forsberg, et al. Also includes a fine track composed by Clausen himself. You'll enjoy this one. It's a great CD by one of the world's greatest collegiate-level choral ensembles. A worthy addition to your collection."

"Being a student at Concorida College I live in the tradition of not only the choir but the band. This CD is the a very good bit of the tradition to add to any collection. The rich colors that Dr. Renae Clausen brings out in these voices only adds to the music. I reccomend this for any vocal music fan, or those whom are looking for a start to their collection."
