While waiting for The Prodigy to get it together...

"New Zealand drum n bass duo Concord Dawn have been sadly overlooked especially in the US, which is a devastating tragedy when you consider they?re the only ones creating worth-while aggressive electronic music these days outside of the banal 4th generation ?industrial? cul-de-sac (new Skinny Puppy excepted, of course). Taking dnb a step further away from its hip-hop and jungle roots, CD inject the genre with the vaporous synths of trance or the agro of gangsta-rap in invigorating form. ?Raining Blood,? named after the Slayer track, represents the most logical direction dnb has to go: railing chainsaw guitars backlit with an enraged scream and punishing beats. ?Horror Show? shows off inventive use of a theremin to haunted effect. The album features collaborations with numerous New Zealand talents such as MC Scribe who also deserve wider exposure in the northern hemisphere. Fans of Crystal Method and The Prodigy (who are sick of waiting for the new album) should give these guys a go ? this dance-floor burner hits the spot."
