Andras Schiff' s sheer pianism blends a prodigious balance, astonishing lyricism and rhythmic vitality that have permitted him to undertake a particular musical journey without disappoint us in any of his previous performances.



Arguably, his increasing spiritual accomplishment was nourished for the egregious figure of the pitifully missing presence of that unforgettable conductor Sandor Vegh in one of the most celebrated collaborations among soloist and director in the last two decades.



In this sense Schiff' s Mozart owns that primordial charm, primary innocence and pristine charm so coveted for many, but fortunately obtained for just a few.



This a crystalline Mozart, filled of vivacity and enraptured liveliness and dainty expression. Among his most remarkable musical achievements we may remind his memorable and until now never unsurpassed version of the XVIII piano concerto with this same team.



Altough the colossal performance of the 24th piano concerto of Wilhelm Kempff has definitively overshadowed any other attempt and the formidable approach of Badura Skoda, Geza Anda and Daniel Barenboim respect the 25th are extraordinary, this album is among the best available version of the actual market.



In this Mozart's year it's useless to advise about this genuine treasure. Go for this one!
