This is the first release planned in partnership with the mighty Roadburn
Festival in Holland. The release will be co-branded as Gravedancer
Records and Roadburn in all marketing materials. Through this
partnership, Gravedancer and Roadburn plan to develop showcases, an
actual metal festival and to uncover/promote the newest, coolest bands in
metal.
CONAN is an incredible doom metal band from Liverpool, UK that has
already drummed up quite the fan base for themselves. We have
premiered tracks thus far with Pitchfork and Brooklyn Vegan. We have
also received an amazing 8/10 review from Pitchfork that claimed that this
record (and CONAN themselves) has found the perfect guitar tone.
The band actively tours throughout Europe (including dates with Sleep
and a stop at Roadburn Festival) and is currently plotting their first strike
on American soil to coincide with having their first American release.
Galloping and muscular sludge-doom is their strong suit and Monnos is
a must have for fans of the current crop of fans buying records from
Torche and flocking to the Sleep reunion shows.
This album is already universally praised by tastemaker press outlets and
will end up on everyone s Best-of-the-Year wrap-up lists!
