"OPUS111 must be congratulated for their Tesori di Napoli series. Volume 1 brought us gorgeous Christmas music from Cristofaro Caresana, a marvelous disc not to be missed. The first napolitan opera to be recorded in the series is a sacred-comic opera by Francesco Provenzale on the story of St. Rosalia, a great discovery. The perfomance couldn't possibly be bettered, it's sung and played with style and flair. The music itself is hauntingly beautiful and ofter very funny in the comic episodes. Try it and you will love it."
