Product DescriptionThe Huntingdon Trio offers music for flute, cello and piano (Czerny, Goossens, Hoover), flute oboe and cello (Foote, Holst) and flute and oboe (Musgrave). Beginning with the 1830 Czerny work, they move on to British Impressionism and a polytonal work by Holst. Arthur Foote's Three Pieces, transcribed from the piano by Rheta Smith, were described as "Tuneful and atmospheric, seemingly redolent of American Indian tunes" by the American Record Guide. The latest works are 1984 trio by American composer Katherine Hoover and a 1967 Impromptu for flute and oboe by Thea Musgrave.
