Still chocolate, but darker

"The Clogs' second album, "Lullaby for Sue," is darker and less immediate than their debut, "Thom's Night Out." The chamber music feel is still there, but ambient and electronic textures now intertwine with the string, guitar, wind, and percussion. The result is a deeper listen, with more of a soundtrack feel. Repeated listening is a must to yield its rewards."
Great experimentation with instrumentals

"I heard of the Clogs due to The National. There are members of the National in the Clogs. As an instrumental band, you get some guitar, some percussion, lots of great violin, but mainly a great atmosphere. They really know how to create ambiance. I'm not a huge fan of instrumental music, but The Clogs really do create a mood here. They would be great if I was into yoga or meditation, or still had to study. Don't look for any standout tracks... the album is meant to be heard straight through. There are build ups and calm moments, and Pink Floyd-ish segments throughout. Interesting listening."
