Album DescriptionDigitally remastered digipak edition of this 1969 album. The band started life as the Climax Chicago Blues Band, but later became known by their more convenient, abbreviated title: Climax Blues Band. Whatever the name, their music has always remained attractive, soulful and beautifully played. This was largely thanks to the taste and skills of the founder members, which included the late Colin Cooper, saxophonist and singer extraordinaire, and their gifted young guitarist Peter Haycock. They are both featured throughout this 12 track set of driving performances that include Climax favorites 'Don't Start Me Talkin'' and their acoustic classic 'Wee Baby Blues'. It's hard to believe the original LP was recorded in just two days at EMI's Abbey Road, but the spontaneous sound of the band was perfectly captured by producer Chris Thomas, working on his first ever album.
