You know the classical compilation business is getting serious when you have artists like conductor Andrew Litton and the Dallas Symphony on a record of music for little kids to play dress-ups by. On this disc, packaged ... more »explicitly for that purpose, participants include the Seattle Symphony, the English Chamber Orchestra, and the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra. Nothing but the best for my kid! The selections were apparently chosen by a girl, pictured on the cover, who looks to be about five or six. She's done a great job. There's lots of Tchaikovsky here, as well as Grieg, Gliere, and Prokofiev. It's great music and the disc, with its cheerful cover, will likely bring a smile to the lips of many adults as well as children. --Gwendolyn Freed« less
