"Forget this disc - Gordon Lightfoot, for my money, made the best music of his career during his stay with United Artists in the late 60's. But, apparently it is more than EMI can do to assemble a decent single disc covering the era (previous options included the lame-sounding and too-short "Best of Gordon Lightfoot", and the well-chosen but overpriced Canadian import "Over 60 Minutes With..."). This should have been the disc that fixed all that, but, apparently the monkeys are still running the zoo in EMI's reissue department... or else they just really want this great music to remain undiscovered. Do yourself a favor - buy the two-disc "United Artists Collection", which includes his first four studio albums in totality (and actually costs less than this reject). Yes, I know 49 tracks might seem like a little much, but it's really good stuff, and if you need a starting point, you could get out your cd burner and re-create the track lineup from the aforementioned "Over 60 Minutes With..." set. Enjoy!"
