"Being a clarinetist myself I am extremely particular about who I listen to. Sabine Meyer is a fabulous player with that real "German School" sound almost every clarinet player strives for. Her techinique is flawless as is her interpretation of the music. I'm burned out on hearing hack renditions of Mozart but this, I'm happy to say, I enjoy listening to...partly due to the playing of it on the instrument intended the Bassett Clarinet. Her Weber is operatic and dramatic..I hang on every note she plays. The Stamitz which I happen to be working on right now is absolutely the way a piece from that era should sound...light, delicate, and lively even in the adagio. Then to top it off the recording of the "Gran Partida" which is brilliantly played by her ensemble. This recording is what every clarinettist dreams..she is what every clarinetist wants to be. A highly recommended recording, but don't stop at this one buy all of her stuff including ensemble work."
