"If you saw me you would never guess that I'm a Xymox fan, being a black girl from the south side of Chicago. I look like I should be listening to Beyonce or Nelly, but really I am HOOKED on Clan of Xymox. Their sound is so appealing, it doesn't matter who you are--you'll love it. I really miss those great alternative bands from the 80's (Depeche Mode, Cure, Nine Inch Nails) but they're just shallow compared to Xymox--such a rich sound with alot of depth and mystery. Even their 'lighter' sounding songs are profound. I really would LOVE to see them in concert someday. Hopefully they're not really saying farewell, as their latest album title implies.
My favorite songs are 'Equal Ways', 'This World', 'Louise', 'At the End of the Day',and 'It's All a Lie',also 'Phoenix of my Heart' which are mysteriously absent from this CD. Still, this is a collection of great songs, better than most popular music available today. There's no comparison to Xymox--they're awesome!"
My best buy this year

"I am one of those old fans from the clan , for 19 years and I must say that I was a bit weary of the news that my favorite old songs were newly recorded. When I played the CD it was a complete shock to me to hear the new versions were the same , I expected to be different but when I listened more closely the tracks revealed a lot more than on the original versions. Everything comes out so well with Ronny's voice sounding at his best. I am grateful for having these versions now added to my collection because I just can't have enough of them ever. i think I own all the record they have released and they continue to intrigue me with each new offering. They are truly great artists and hope they continue for many years to come. I consider myself as a critical fan but I cannot criticize them for anything they have done in the past or present. They simply have my devotion , forever"
A real masterpiece

"I just stopped playing this album after listening to it non stop for a day.To me it really shows that Clan Of Xymox is indestructible. They keep bringing out hit material , year after year. The album is pretty upbeat but also has resting points , like the generously written Consolation which is a real gem. After all these years they keep me on my toes, they are never predictable. I only wished they would come to the US and play live over here. I am waiting now a long time to see them play live. Anyway , I will stick to my album review and I give it a full thumbs up! I am Polish and saw them live in Warsaw before the fall of the Soviet Union. It was crazy back then with more then 10.000 screaming fans . I hear they still play festivals regular in Poland , so one of these days I will go and see them there."

"To catch up with their work I would recommend to listen to this album first ,although you would miss out on the many very beautiful slower works like Creatures, All I Have, It's All A Lie, Your Vice, Dark Mood, One More Time,Losing My Head, , Consolation, Undermined, At Your Mercy, Internal Darkness, Into Her Web etc. I just realized I made up a complete new Best Of Clan Of Xymox album and maybe they should consider one, featuring their more ambient side which they so perfectly set inbetween their more upbeat songs throughout their career.
Like many other fans I know I was delighted with this offering and this album always keeps me going."
