Product DescriptionThe music can be described as traditional rock that is often free-form and improvisational in a live setting. A very enjoyable listen, as the songs have variety and personality. The first two songs, "Circus Train" and "When My Ship Comes In" are up-tempo and fun, and are followed up with two more thought-provoking songs, "Roll Away the Stone" and the trance-like "Make Us Real". "Long Forgotten Friend" is once again very lively, great rock, followed by "Quadrangle", a very moody, suspended instrumental. "Gather 'Round" shows off an almost acoustic approach, while the final song "Sunray" is power-blues, intense, and a great uplifting ending. This is one of those CDs that tells a story from beginning to end, without spelling too much out for the listener. The band itself has a unique personality and presence. Each band member is clearly saying something, each with his own instrument, and it all combines together into a unified idea that is really enjoyable. This is music that you want to listen to more than once, or twice, or more than that - in a row. There is a sense of entering a different landscape, and the places you go are places you want to return to again.
