"This album is a must-have if you know anything about go-go, and even if you don't. It's all good musically, with the possible exception of "Go-Go Drug Free," but even this track is made priceless by the participation of none other than Mayor Marion Barry. Lyric: "I'm Marion Barry, and here's my rap / Won't tolerate drugs in the nation's cap." Perfect! when you consider that some years later he was filmed smoking crack in a motel room. Rap--and therefore almost all current musical genres--owe more to go-go than is usually recognized. Chuck Brown can be found in the "shout out" lists of many giants of rap and hip-hop. Get this album to see why."

"What's up with reviewers from the UK and Japan? Maybe military? I was born & raised in the nation's capital, Washington, D.C. I saw Chuck for the first time when I was 16, far too young to be out so late, but DAMN, he was kicking with a smooth groove. To this day Chuck still grooves with a "smoothness" unmatched. When some of the other go-go bands attempt to mellow out and duplicate Chuck's work, it is just that, an attempt, and a usually a feeble one at that. Chuck Brown is unmistakenly the GODFATHER of GO-GO and "Any Other Way To Go" is CLASSIC Chuck Brown. If you even begin to claim to know about go-go you must first "memorize" (and I jest not) "memorize" the first 4 cuts of this marvelous CD. P.S. Don't you dare put it on scramble you'll just ruin the groove."
