Not one of Christy's best

"This album suffers from weak songs and a weak production; songs like "missing you" and "musha god help her" pack none of the punch of the live Christy, and are reduced to sounding like wallpaper music. Standout tracks are "All for the Roses", a great cover of Ewan MacColl's "First time ever I saw your face", and "Middle of the Island", a haunting duet with Sinead O'Conner. These are great, the rest is a bit bland."

"I've listened to this CD dozens of times and it keeps calling me back to listen to it more. This is a working man expressing the feelings of the working man."
"Voyage" a great love song

""Voyage" is song to build a life on; I'm going to be singing this one at my brother's wedding this fall. The words are touching and describe the type of steafast determination that any relationship "journey" requires: "Life is an ocean/love is a boat/in troubled waters/it keeps us afloat/when we started the voyage/it was just me and you/now, gathered round us, we have our own crew." Yes!"
