"Back Of My Mind has some wonderful tracks like "Someday", "Never Stop Believing", "Alibi", and "Swept Away", but it certainly is not Cross' best work. Still, I think it's great that amazon.com offers Chris' long out-of-print albums. Chances are you've never heard most of the songs that are on these albums, and it would be a shame for you to pass them up.For his best work, I think you should try Rendezvous, or Every Turn of the World. Another Page and his self-titled album are perenial classics as well."

"This CD is a treat for fans of the gentle speaking artist with a sweet voice of gold. "Swept Away" is a beautiful love song and "I Will (Take Forever)"; a duo, blends the vocals like only he can. The title track: "Back of my Mind" is classic Cross stuff.Although a fine production, there's still a couple of cheesy tracks. After all, it wouldn't be Christopher Cross without them.Brad Zimmerman"

"nothing special. I own six of his albums and this is the weakest one over all for me. The first three and Red Room I find more melodic."
Christopher Cross and his muse

"Listening to Christopher Cross's music you find that he most likely was a Christine McVie fan. They both have good pop sense and hooks in their songs. So this CD is well worth getting to be able to hear them sing together in " Never Stop Believing". His lead vocal with her voice wrapped around it is just good pop music at its best."
