"Simply put: I love this music.This is a cross between lounge, ambient groove, miami and trip...with all that drum'n'bass and jazz caught up in between.Christphe is a French maestro who knows his genres and pays tribute to them all in this eclectic mix of sounds, beats and forays into the surreal and unusual territories of sound that actually surround our daily lives. For instance can you imagine a voice mail mesage actually forming the backdrop to a gorgeous peace of jazz (a la Ben Neill style)?Or even the the 'fasten your seat belts' tannoy message you hear on every plane around the world that somehow flips over into a sampled bossa nova finale...Wow. This guy is so imaginative, understanding that sampled sounds should actually be integral to the shape and direction of the music, and not just an overcoat of painted noise. Christophe plays from the heart. In fact, the music is so emotional it sometimes even hurts!This album never leaves my CD player (competing with the likes of Pat Metheny, McLaughlin and Steve Roach for sound space).In fact if there ever an album I could truly say was my 'desert island' one choice then this is it.God bless you Christophe. You are a true musician and you play music that strikes chords to my very heart. Looking forward to your next adventure into soul soaring music."
