"Chris Watson, former member of Cabaret Voltaire and sometime member of The Hafler Trio left the 'music scene' and reappeared years later with a full-time job doing location recording for wildlife and nature programmes on TV for the BBC in the UK.
This release is also location recordings, closely miked animals such as cheetahs, monkeys and whales. Just look at the track listing and you know what is recorded, but somehow Chris also manages to pull out the unexpected - it's not every day you get to hear these animals from so close. These are superbly detailed recordings, you can feel the breathing of the cheetah.
Buy this for the superb recordings, don't but this is you want another CD of whalesong - this is the real thing!"
