"This cd features a great blend of sax, trumpet, and flute along with Chris' jazzy guitar work and produces a cd that's a real winner."

"The title is about as apt as a title can be! While I was reading some of the other reviews, I came across one that said something like "...neo soul..." This is a very good term for this CD, if not retro-funk. Yeah neo soul is right..! As I listened, I heard such influences that were reminiscent of Steeley Dan, Marvin Gaye, and the George Duke of the late 70's to name a few. Unlike so much of the Smooth Jazz of today, this is not so smooth... I don't say this to criticize, but to say there is a good, rough funk to it! I am usually the only one who is into jazz in my household, (my family usually just tolerates me) but this was soooo good that even the kids got into it! It was to the point that I may have to issue the following warning: This CD is so funky, rockin', bumpin' that you may not be able to take it to work with you for fear that no one will get any work done due to the fun, funky beats. Anyway this is another CD you would be well advised to add to your contemporary jazz collection!"
