"I just purchased a second copy of this magnificent recording as a gift to a friend. I have been listening to Israela Margalit's interpretation of the Nocturnes for about six months now and I'm amazed at the depth of her playing, her understanding of each Nocturne as individual and independently of the others. Many pianists have recorded the entire book as if the nocturnes were composed in a week. Chopin's composed the Nocturnes from the age of 17 (E minor) until the last years of his life.

You hear the master's life, and, through that a little of what this pianist is about. Technically Brilliant, spiritual at times and always well grounded and solid, Arthur Rubinstein comes to my ears.

BRAVO, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
