"I don't know why there's only 1 other review here? Maybe there's more on the French Amazon. I hope so, because Chimene is a hidden treasure that I discovered when I got interested in French female pop stars. She's so beautiful and such a powerful singer that she deserves much more recognition. I highly recommend that you get ahold of her videos, because only then will you see her true passion and beauty. After that, you'll enjoy these great songs even more. For Americans who haven't been exposed to French music at all, I'd probably have to say that Chimene is very similar to Martina McBride."

It's hard to believe she started as a reality show winner

"She was the winner of the first French "Star Academie" (think American Idol, but where they train singers) series. And she is one of the best of the current popular varieté française singers.

She has a wonderful singing voice, powerful and emotional. And she is very good looking, too. *g*

I discovered her first through the Les Enfoirés (e.g., Le Train des Enfoires) concert CDs*, and I found a few of her songs online. Then my French instructor brought in her debut album, Entre Nous, and I was hooked. amazon.fr has taken quite a few of my dollars for her CDs (it's usually cheaper to buy them direct from there instead as "imports" from amazon.com). Many of her songs have messages - read the lyrics to her latest "Le miroir".

I wish she would tour here or in Canada, as Patrick Bruel did in May and June 2007.

"this singer is amazing!!!She has an incredible voice, and the typical soul of the real artist.This second album is already successful in france,and i hope it will be in others countries.The songs are very beautiful, and contrary to others products, this CD is not formatted.And if you are reached by a serious disease, i'm sure this Cd will help you a lot,because the voice of the singer is really strong and appeasing!!!"
