"This CD is the best of Buarque's carreer. The title track is a contundent social claim, using only a few words. Other tracks, such "Valsinha", are pungent love songs. And the tunes are very, very gorgeous. Masterpiece is the right word to describe this work."

This is very difficult for Chico Buarque, who 30 years ago was already one of MPB stars, still fighting the (now long dead) military government.You have a mix of political (Deus lhe pague), quotidian (prize-winning Construcao), lullaby (Acalanto) and romantic (Valsinha) in one of his best works"
