"Chet infuses warmth & glowing melodic phrases throughout this concert, on his flugelhorn. His gift of making his instrument tastefully sing to reach your heart, is hard to beat. At times he sounds a bit winded, but the NDR Big Band backs him up nicely. Great arrangements and performance by the band & Mr. Baker!"

"This CD is one of three the best Chet's last rerordings - including "The Last Great Concert"-2CD and "Chet Baker In Tokyo"-2CD. A truly masterpiece! I have about 20 recordings of Chet and these one with the beautifuly sounded German DNR Big Band is the most wonderful! A pure jazz!"
