Very solid recording, but redundant with "The Early Years"

"This are some very solid performances from Chet Baker during this period (his pre-heroin days). Because they are studio recordings, the sounds is as good as you will get. I enjoy listening to the recordings where he was a trumpted player to when he first began singing. This CD covers both.
My only hesitation with the CD is that a newer release -- "The Early Years [box set] includes all of these studio recordings as well as somoe live recordings from this period. So if you want the COMPLETE collection, including live recordings, then get "The Early Years" box set; if you're just interested in the studio recordings, then this is hyour choice. Either option is great, but both is unnecessary.
