Synopsis

Album Description
Heads Up! The legendary Chesterfield Kings have been turned loose on the world once again with a snarling new album...and the world had better lock up its daughters one more time! After 20 years of leading the pack, the Kings are still the hands-down heavyweight champs of today?s bubbling psychedelic/garage world. With production help here from the scene?s pre-eminent big daddy, Little Steven (who accompanies the guys on their new single, "I Don?t Understand"), Rochester, New York?s bad boys have indelibly scorched into tape 14 brand new Farfisa ?n? fuzz-laden killers. Bent on nothing short of total world domination, the Kings will soon embark on a mammoth tour that should keep them out of trouble (maybe) until Christmas time, at least. They?re back where they belong, tossing TV sets from hotel windows and trailing garage-rock mayhem in their wake: Ladies & Gentlemen, the Chesterfield Kings!

CD Reviews

I picked this CD up when I getting their newest CD. I'm glad

"September 18, 2007 was a day I splurged on two Chesterfield Kings CD's and Rhino's newest 4CD box set. This CD has been around since 2003 and I kept putting off on getting it. Boy am I glad I bought it!

If you like garage-rock revival and The Rolling Stones at their best inspired rock this CD is hard to beat. I managed two get three 5-star rated songs off of it.

Pay attention to the "Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought" item. I would say check out "Let's Go Get Stoned" by Chesterfield Kings, "Outta The Nest" by Vipers, "The Essential Radio Birdman" by Radio Birdman (one of my best Aussie garage finds), and of course "Psychedelic Sunrise" by the Chesterfield kings.

Anyway here is my mini-review of this CD:

(4) Trip Through Tomorrow - The Chesterfield Kings - 2003 - "One of the BEST tracks on this CD? GOOD first impression. Notable psychedelic guitar hooks." - The Mindbending Sounds Of...The Chesterfield Kings (Wicked Cool Record)-2006.

(8) Stems And Flowers - The Chesterfield Kings - 2003 - "ACCURATE Seeds-esque guitar interplay. Very good Jagger-esque vocals. Play on words? stems, flowers, Seeds-esque, get it?" - The Mindbending Sounds Of...The Chesterfield Kings (Wicked Cool.

(11) Mystery Trip - The Chesterfield Kings - 2003 - "The BEST track on this CD bar none. Greg Prevost sounds BETTER then Mick Jagger on this one. I have a outstanding video of this song at my site that must be seen." - The Mindbending Sounds Of...The Chesterfield Kings (Wicked Cool Record)-2006.

Other songs of note are:

(6) Death Is The Only Real Thing - "From the opening guitar hooks and Jagger-esque vocals you know this song is going to be good! GOOD first impression."

(7) Disconnection - "Outstanding Jagger-esque vocals. Excellent guitar RIFFS. "

(9) Flashback - "Another tribute to "The Rolling Stones". It don't get better then this! Some nice psych guitar riffs."

(14) The Fading Of My Mind - "Shades of the Stones at their sitar psychedic best. A hint of backwards guitar to get you higher."

If your a Chesterfield Kings fan you can't go wrong having this in your collection.
