This album is the most overplayed album and she should have kept the original of "We All Sleep Alone" instead of turning it into a dance remix. Her music after that is quite good. CD Reviews"Cher's Best Album" Terry Richard | Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada | 10/04/2010 (5 out of 5 stars) "Cher's comeback album, "Believe", not only proved to the world that she had staying power in an industry that swallows careers thoughtlessly, but proved she could endear herself to a whole new generation of fans. Regarded as Cher's disco album, once the single "Believe" was released to radio stations, DJ's couldn't get it on the radio fast enough due to the many requests by listeners. "Believe" was also a huge dance single ultimately winning Cher the Grammy for Best Dance recording. The "Believe" album was certified Quadruple Platinum meaning it had sold four million copies in the United States. The record would ultimately sell 20,000,000 copies worldwide becoming Cher's highest selling album in her remarkable career. "Believe" has really held up well over the last twelve years since its initial release. The songs are not dated which proves that the material Cher chose for this project was impeccably worked on by both the artist and her producers. The title single would stay at #1 for an amazing four week run. Other outstanding tracks are "Strong Enough", "All or Nothing", "Runaway", and "The Power"." Cher reworks one of her moderate hits from the late 1980s, "We All Sleep Alone," into a beat-driven disco song. And "Dov'e L'Amore" is a song reminiscent of her Snuff Garrett days, appropriately modernized.
