A Different Sort of Album

"A local radio station played music performed by Chas and Dave. It was so delightful and different I ordered this album and am surprised and amazed by their interesting style. Chas and Dave are a British duo just gaining recognition in the States and I feel certain their popularity will grow. This album consists of fifty tracks and are all songs from World War Two - many familiar and some quite obscure. There are a lot of songs peculiar to England during the war and quite interesting in their unfamilarity. There is a peppy background beat to the entire album, so even the normally slow ballads take on an entirely new bouncy character. Each tune rapidly moves into the next with no pause.Chas and Dave are both Cockneys, so their slight accent is heard on each song and lends a delightful air, along with the rather gravely voice of one of the artists. This album would be an excellent accompaniment for exercise due to the rather fast beat. It is very energizing and will uplift you as you listen. I hope we will hear more from these two as they have such an unusual and engaging presentation"

"The album is REALLY AWFUL ! All the vocal is performed by one singer who sounds as if he is going to become breathless at any moment. The synthesized music is annoying with the same beat for endless songs. The album's only redemption is that some of the funds from it's sale go to the World War II Memorial in Washington D.C."
